Meet Our Team…
Husband and wife team Megan and Adam Walters have owned John Dale Motors since 2003.
In addition to overseeing the operational management and direction of a busy, state of the art automotive service and repair centre, Megan has a clear vision for the future growth of the business and the development of its people.
Genuinely focused on their customers and supported by a professional and experienced team all motivated by the same goal, Megan ensures that motorists choosing John Dale Motors for their car servicing and maintenance will experience the very highest levels of customer service on the Central Coast.
Megan and Adam have two sons, Riley and Bailey, who many customers have known since they were born and have watched them grow into the men that Megan and Adam are rightly very proud of.
When not in the business, Megan is either travelling the country on the rally circuit in support of Riley Walters Racing or hanging out with the other three great loves of her life – Milly the Toy Poodle, Keg the Moodle and Bella the Cavoodle!
Dream Car: Shelby Cobra.
Husband, proud Father and co-owner of John Dale Motors, Adam was an employee of original owner John Dale before purchasing the business.
It’s an incredible testament to their commitment to the business that Megan and Adam sold their house to acquire John Dale Motors and then lived at the workshop premises for three and a half years.
A qualified technician for over thirty years, as well as being licensed for Pink, Blue, and Brown slips and LPG, Adam loves the problem solving and diagnostic trouble shooting side of a modern workshop. With his experience and expertise, Adam is often working on the more complex, out of the ordinary and specialist repairs, maintenance and engineering.
Not satisfied with only spending weekdays on cars, he spends his time outside the business actively involved with Motorsport Australia at over twenty events a year with Riley Walters Racing and is an active member of the West Lakes Automobile Club.
Adam is committed to ensuring that the team at John Dale Motors stays ahead of fast-moving developments in vehicle technology, workshop equipment and methods for the efficient and effective solution to issues associated with the very latest vehicles and systems.
Dream Car: Unimog.
Brian (Workshop Operations Manager)
Originally from Western Sydney, Brian has lived on the Central Coast for over twenty years.
A qualified technician since 1993, Brian started his career as a qualified Radiator Repairer. In the days when radiators weren’t so long lasting or as cheap to replace as they are today, expertly repairing and refurbishing radiators was common.
Brain has been with John Dale Motors for five years and oversees the day to day organisation of the workshop and its team of busy technicians, ensuring vehicles are processed through the workshop efficiently and on time.
When not at work, Brian spends his time Camping, Saltwater Fishing, Motocross riding and running after his two grandchildren – twin boys!
Dream Car: ’64 Ford Mustang.
Peter (Service Manager)
Born and raised in Charmhaven, Peter has been with John Dale Motors over fifteen years, starting in the workshop as an apprentice and progressing to Service Manager.
Transparency and trust are central to the customer experience at John Dale Motors – as Service Manager Peter ensures that customers are kept informed of their vehicle’s progress throughout the day, processed efficiently and experience the very best customer service on the Central Coast.
In his own time, Peter is kept busy with a young family and is a member of Wyong Golf Club, where he tees off with a handicap of fifteen.
Dream Car: Chevrolet Camaro.
Rod (Service Advisor)
A recent recruit to the team, Rod spent the early part of his career in the customer service side of the airline industry with Ansett Australia.
Originally from Dunedoo, he moved over to the automotive industry thirty years ago and spent several years in the parts department of a large Ford dealership.
Rod works with Peter at the front end to liaise with customers throughout the day, ensure vehicles are ready on time and customers fully understand what was done to the vehicle during the service, inspection or repair.
Rod’s varied hobbies include motorbike riding and meat smoking – eight-hour ribs anyone?
Dream Car: Ford Ranger.
Wayne qualified as a technician in 2003 through a mature age apprenticeship. He is also a fully qualified Harley Davidson Mechanic (just as well, he owns two!).
In the past, Wayne has drag raced bikes at Eastern Creek and competed in Sidecar Speedway, where he and his partner were champions at Nepean Speedway two years in a row.
He loves cars though, and has owned a 1973 Ford Cortina Mk3 for twenty-seven years, replacing the original inline six-cylinder engine with a 500 HP Ford Cleveland 351 V8.
Dream Car: Hot Rod.
Another recent recruit to the team, Ryan has been a qualified technician for over twenty years.
Originally from Liverpool (NSW, not Merseyside!) he and his fiancé, plus their five-year-old Staffie have been on the Central Coast for two years, and in their spare time visit the beach for a swim as often as they can.
Dream Car: Nissan Skyline GTR.
Originally from Redfern, Bill has lived and worked all over New South Wales during the forty years since he qualified as a technician, including ten years as a mobile mechanic. Finally settling on the Central Coast thirteen years ago, he joined John Dale Motors in 2020.
Outside of work, he has six grandchildren to keep him busy, and has just enough time left over to mow the lawns!
Dream Car: VT Commodore.
Beating Bill by just two years, Steve qualified as a technician forty-two years ago, making him the longest qualified tech in the workshop. He’s been with John Dale Motors for eight years.
In his spare time, he’s kept busy by the six grandchildren (aged from twelve years to ten months) from his six children. He’s also active in Freemasonry and a keen fisherman.
Dream Car: Nissan Patrol.
